Establishing an indoor/outdoor relationship with nature, this new construction residence is in an avalanche zone and required the house to step up the mountainside. This stepping allows for vertical movement through the core of the house and creates a series of vignettes as you ascend to the upper floor. The exterior of the house draws inspiration from mid-century modern home design while blending board formed concrete, corten steel, and blackened steel detailing. This project will offer multiple breathtaking views of the mountains and valley below.
